Students in Free Enterprise is the world's preeminent collegiate free enterprise organization. SIFE provides leadership training, regional expositions and career opportunity fairs for thousands of college students throughout 1600 campuses in 42 different countries, and awards more than $1,000,000 in prize money to teams each year. Inspired by the energy, passion, and the healthy idealism SIFE students possess, these business people and community leaders champion the ideas that hard work pays, free markets work, democracy leads to prosperity, and freedom brings social responsibility.

The University of Arkansas SIFE team was founded in 1999 by a small group of students. The team has flourished and is now a nationally ranked and recognized team.

As a member of SIFE you are expected to volunteer at least 10 hours each semester; independent work and project work all count towards your hours. You are required to attend all meetings, unless given advance notice of an upcoming absence. Through volunteering and being an active member in SIFE you will learn valuable leadership skills that will help you in your future endeavors.

	Briefly, from what you have heard about SIFE, please explain why you would like to be a part of SIFE and what you are most interested in doing. Use this as an opportunity to tell us a bit about yourself.


	SIFE is divided into five focuses; please indicate your preferences from first through fifth. You may overlap your choices.
	Accounting/Finance: This department is in charge of tracking the finances of the organization. Students will receive hands-on experience concerning financial decision-making and will also be in charge of organizing SIFE fundraising events.
	Technology: This department is in charge of dealing with all the technical issues of the organization, with the main focus resting on the SIFE website, electronic advertisements and various competition presentations. Students will also assist program coordinators with all their technological needs.
	Marketing/Media: This deparment is responsible for UA SIFE's marketing and its general promotion and publicity. Students will develop materials to promote SIFE programs and products as well as assist in creating products. They write the annual report for the SIFE National Competition and issue press releases for programs and events.
	Education: This department is in charge of the research and development of programs that fit the educational needs of the community. Students create learning and instructional curricula as well as teach the respective classes.
	SIFE Business Management: This department is responsible for determining and supplying products for our student-run businesses. Students are in charge of P&L statements, revenue projections and wroking with the Accounting/Finance department. They also work with the Marketing/Media department to promote products.
