Mini Grand Prix
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Arkansas Mini Grand Prix is an exciting and unique charitable event.
A Mini Grand Prix is a go-kart race, but the cars are not your typical go-karts. They are Nascar styled,
and are sponsored by local corporations and organizations. The cars will take to the track on April 5th,
2008 all vying for the checkered flag. This event is an excellent opportunity to be actively involved in
SIFE and contribute to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Arkansas. |

Program Leader : Lance Flynt lflynt@uark.edu
Program Leader : Anna Cho acho@uark.edu
SIFE students conduct a day camp for elementary students from around the Northwest Arkansas area. While the
primary goal of the program is to teach students about global chocolate production, the program also
contains shorter lessons in budgeting, advertising, currency, and ethics. Using their classroom lessons,
students create their own imaginary chocolate company. The elementary students work with college mentors to
research using the Internet and to create a PowerPoint presentation detailing their business plans. Last
year, UA SIFE held three different events in three locations. Check
